"You got a dream, you gotta protect it. People can't do something themselves they wanna tell you that you can't do it. You want something, go get it. Period." These words still sound in my mind so strong that I once again develop courage to follow an unusual dream. I still remember how Chris Gardener told his son these words while he was playing basketball.

Believe me, if you haven't watched it yet, watch it. Inspirational food for your brain based on real circumstances.

The film revolves around Chris Gardener, who goes through a phase of hardships. He battles period of homelessness along with his son trying to make a living selling medical bone density scanners, and also being enrolled for an internship programme as a stock broker. A true story where the protagonist finally after struggles create a better life for him and his son.

An inspiring entrepreneur can learn from every scene of the movie, here are three major learning's from the life of Chris Gardener.

1. Keep on going

One of the statements that can become the mantras of your life is - keep going.

In the film we see moments where he has to resort to sleeping in bathroom and another day rush early to get a room. He still pretends to his son that things aren't actually what they are to keep him happy. He alone fights all the battles without a support system. But he still kept going. Things got worse before it got better.

2. Don't be afraid of anything

Make yourself so tough that your weakness can't be seen by the world. Show them you are strong and afraid of nothing.

Inspite of being homeless, he dresses up smartly and talks in the same polite manner he used to. An iconic part in the movie is when he is ready to pay $ 5 bills to an executive of the company for a cab fare home.

He aimed high, only one person would be getting internship after the programme and he wanted to be one among them. Besides, he was one of them. Not just dream high, also put the efforts to realise it.

3. Work for it like your life depends on it

When you work like there is no other choice, people' opinion do not matter. Forget about being just good enough. Be the best.

He didn't waste much time at the water machine when at work so that he could spend more time calling clients and won't be wasting time in the bathroom.

Although his wife decided to leave him, he single handedly kept his son happy while working for his own dream.

All the entrepreneurs must go beyond what their neighbors, friends or family may say to thrive for the best future. Just go after your dreams.
